  • What is the parking situation at the Pelican Grand?
    Limited parking is available in front of the hotel at $4/hr. More parking is available on the south side on A1A at the beach. There is additional parking at the Cambria hotel across the street and a parking garage at 3020 NE 32nd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308.
  • How fast will the SEABOB go?
    The SEABOB goes up to 9 mph on the surface and 8 mph under in the surface.
  • Are we allowed to take SEABOBs anywhere?
    No. There is a designated area that will be used for operating the SEABOB.
  • How long is each rental?
    The rental time is about 75min. This does not include a saftey briefing of about 10-15 min including a short training session in the dry.
  • What happens if I do damage the SEABOB?
    This is why we demand a deposit. Your depost will be held till the true cost of the repair has been determined. This can take up to three business days. Once the true cost has been investigated you will be held responsible for the cost.
  • Do you guys provide transportation to/from my hotel?

    Mon - Fri from 10am-5pm. Sat - Sun from 10am-6pm.
  • Can I take a shower at your facility?
  • Can I use my GoPro on the SEABOB?
    Your are welcome to take photos and videos from your SEABOB experience. Please keep in mind your GoPro will only be allowed with wristband or mount that fits our adhesive stickers. Beach Ventures is not responsible for any loss during your SEABOB rental experience.
  • What type of clothing should I wear?
    Clothing of choice, however a long sleeve shirt is preferreed to ride on the SEABOB to protect from the sun and also from the friction between the SEABOB and the pilot belt. You should also bring a towel, sandals for the beach and put sunblock on.
  • Do I need a license to drive a SEABOB?
    No licesnse is required, you will be provided with a short saftey briefing and time to get to know the vehicle.
  • Does Beach Ventures provide masks and wet suits?
    Yes. We provide you with masks at no charge. Wet suits optionally for an upcharge of $10 per wetsuit during the winter time.
  • When is the best time to rent a SEABOB?
    During November through April the water temperature is lower compared to the summer time. In the winter time the temperature is between 72-76 Fahrenheit. In the summertime the temperature is in the mid 80s Fahrenheit. Usually the best time to do snorkel tours is in the morning due to calmer waters and less wind.
  • Do you require a deposit?
    No, a deposit of $25.00 is only required if a rental slot will be reserved.
  • What kind of payment do you accept?
    We accept all major credit cards, apple pay and cash.
  • Is there an age restriction to rent the SEABOBs?
    Yes. Operator must be at least 10 years of age with parental consent and supervision. A renter must be at least 18 years of age. No one can be too old for a SEABOB snorkel tour.
  • Do I have to wear a life jacket while operating the SEABOB?
    No. However, you are required to wear a pilot belt which will be attached to the SEABOB while operating. Even though the SEABOB floats on the surface we will have you hooked onto it so the operation is much safer and easier to maneouver.
  • Do you have to know how to swim, in order to ride the SEABOB?"
    No. However, you are required to wear a pilot belt which will be attached to the SEABOB while operating which makes it very safe. The SEABOB also acts like a life jacket and floats on the surface. While in the water we always have one of our instructors out there with you.
  • The ocean can get cold, do you have wetsuits available?"
    Wet suits are available during the winter time, the fee is $10 per wetsuit. A long sleeve is recommended to protect you from the sun and keep you warm.
  • Does the SEABOB float on the surface?
    Yes. The SEABOB is unsinkable and floats on the surface and will automatically shut off when a depth of 2.5 Meters is reached.
  • Do you provide refunds?
    Yes if canceled more than 24hrs in advance otherwise only due to weather conditions.
  • What is your canellation policy?
    Reservation require 48hrs notice of cancellation. Any reservation not being canceled 24hrs prior will be charged a cancellation fee of 100%. In case of no show at the time of rental you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the rental cost.
  • How do I make a reservation?
    To make a reservations click "Book Online", you can make a reservation 24hrs prior to your booking for up to six people.
  • What do I have to bring with me in order to rent a SEABOB?
    State ID, Drivers License, or Passport and a towel to dry off after the rental. A shirt to use in the water to protect you from the sun would help as well which also protects you from any friction between the pilot belt and SEABOB.
  • Do you allow walk ups or do I have to make a reservation.
  • How much does SEABOB rental cost?
    The price for a full charge (60-90 minutes) rental is $130.00 USD for the F5 and $150 USD for the F5 with CAM.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept all major credit cards, apple pay and cash
  • Can I rent the SEABOB for more than one full charge or 60 min?
    Yes. You can rent a SEABOB multiple times a day. We also offer daily rates and provide you with a quick charger (recharge time is only 90 min). For daily rates please contact us.
  • What is included in the rental?
    Beach Ventures will provide a saftey training before the rental, the SEABOB experience and goggles during the rental including pilot belt. We offer guided snorkel tours and are considered under the best things to do in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Please bring towels if possible. Wet suits can be rented optionally at $10 per wetsuit.
